In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Arsenal are planning to move in for Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak. It has been mentioned that the Gunners are eyeing a €150m move to sign the Swedish talent this summer.

Isak’s Impressive Form In The Premier League

Isak has enjoyed another productive campaign at St. James’ Park after he put in a series of impressive displays as the focal point of Eddie Howe’s attack. The Swedish talent has banged in 27 goals and grabbed six assists in 41 matches for the Magpies this season across all competitions.

The 25-year-old has led the line well and deserves credit for averaging 2.9 shots, 1.3 key passes and 1.3 dribbles per game in the Premier League. He has even distributed the ball relatively well based on his pass success rate of 76.3% in league football (stats via whoscored).

His current deal at the Tyneside club will run out in the summer of 2028. Thus, the Gunners would have to make a big offer if they are serious about recruiting Isak this off-season.

Is Isak A Dream Choice For Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta?

Isak can engineer a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create a few promising chances for his teammates in the final third and has proven his worth as a lethal finisher in the Premier League. The Swedish striker can even make some driving runs with the ball in the opposition half. However, he needs to work on improving his link-up play up top.

We can expect Isak to bring plenty of firepower to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta‘s attack. He has what it takes to nail down a regular starting spot at the Emirates Stadium next season.

At 25, Isak has got his peak years ahead of him which makes him a dream choice for the Gunners to consider in this summer transfer period. He has already proven himself in Premier League football and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the North London club.

Plus, Isak could even help the Gunners compete for some major honours over the next few years. Hence, Arteta would be wise to go all out to get him on board this summer.
