Bayern Munich enters its final week of the season…

Bayern has two deals in place for Wirtz (Tz via @iMiaSanMia)

According a report from Tz journalists Mano Bonke and Philipp Kessler, Bayern Munich will get Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz — it is just a matter of when.

While most anticipate that a deal will be agreed upon this summer, Bayern Munich has a contingency agreement in place with Wirtz in the event that he cannot move until 2026.

One other interesting note — club legends Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge are continuing to play key roles in the potential move:

It’s been known within the industry for weeks that Bayern and Florian Wirtz have an agreement in principle over a transfer in Munich. Now the move is taking concrete shape. According to @tzmuenchen, Bayern have struck two pre-contract agreements with Wirtz, one for this summer and one for summer 2026.

The work of Uli Hoeneß now appears to be bearing fruit. The honorary president did the groundwork for the transfer and was in regular contact with Florian’s father and agent, Hans Wirtz. Among other things, he helped the family make the footballer’s Adidas contract more lucrative.

Now Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is supposed to help mediate between Bayern and Leverkusen so that the transfer can go through this summer. Contrary to other reports, Max Eberl is still uninvolved. At the moment, it looks like Wirtz will indeed join Bayern this summer.

In addition to FC Bayern, Real Madrid and Manchester City were also interested in Wirtz. But weeks ago, Hans Wirtz signaled to Real Madrid that a move abroad would come too soon for his son – especially since Real likely couldn’t have afforded the transfer. Wirtz would likely cost around his market value (€140m) this summer. Next summer, however, the fee would drop significantly.

In addition, Abendzeitung journalist Maximilian Koch (via @iMiaSanMia) backed up the report and indicated that there is “optimism” that a deal will be reached soon:

Talks between Bayern and Leverkusen over Florian Wirtz have already taken place. There’s a lot of optimism that the deal will be finalized soon. Wirtz-Bayern agreement already reached on a 5-year deal worth €20-25m per year.

Everything seems to be falling into place. Now…it might just be a matter of time.

Leverkusen to go with Fàbregas next? (@Plettigoal)

Back to the grill again?

It looks like Bayer Leverkusen might have another Spanish midfielder in mind to lead its club next season — Cesc Fàbregas:

Cesc Fabregas’ departure from Como is becoming increasingly likely.

The players and some agents are also receiving corresponding signals. Leipzig and Leverkusen want him. Bayer 04 pushing a lot.

Perišić still producing (@FabrizioRomano)

Former Bayern Munich winger Ivan Perišić is still doing his thing:

To this day, I still rue Bayern Munich opting to let Perišić got after the treble-winning season. He was one of the squad’s most integral pieces during that run and his replacement really never lived up to the hype.

Real reaches agreement with Vinicius Junior (Diario AS via ESPN)

Real Madrid is rumored to have reached an agreement with Vinicius Junior on a contract extension:

Vinicius Junior has agreed a three-year contract extension at Real Madrid, which will see him become the club’s top earner on €20m per season after tax. The deal has been agreed verbally and will be signed when the LaLiga season is over, before Madrid take part in the Club World Cup.

Some , and clubs – including #Juventus and #Inter – have asked for information on #Kim Min-jae.

#BayernMunich are open to selling the CB this summer if a suitable offer arrives.

No advanced talks yet, but interest is growing. #Transfers

It remains to be seen what happens with Min-jae, but Bayern Munich could be open to re-tooling its center-back core this summer.

Tah contemplating future (@iMiaSanMia)

Jonathan Tah has been closely linked to Bayern Munich in recent days and recently spoke to the media, where he addressed the issue:

Jonathan Tah on when he will announce his new club: “I’ll make a decision soon. I don’t want to set a date. But it won’t be in two months.”

On whether going abroad is attractive for him: “When you go somewhere where you might not speak the language, it’s a particularly challenging experience. That also applies to my role, which I naturally want to have within a team. It would require a lot from me to get involved. That’s why going abroad is definitely appealing to me.”

Napoli advancing with David? (@FabrizioRomano)

Napoli could be closing in on its next striker — Canada’s Jonathan David:

Napoli have submitted a proposal to Jonathan David with advanced talks ongoing for a free transfer.

Important contract proposal has been sent to the striker who’s set to leave Lille at the end of the season.

There are still key details to clarify with more talks to follow.
