Kylian Mbappe sends 8-word message to Real Madrid after disappointing loss to Barcelona

Following the disappointing loss against FC Barcelona, Kylian Mbappe decided to break the silence and deliver a 8-word message to Real Madrid.

Kylian Mbappe delivered a standout individual performance for Real Madrid, but it wasn’t enough to prevent FC Barcelona from claiming victory in Sunday’s dramatic El Clasico. Following the 4–3 loss, the French star broke his silence with a short, powerful message to Los Blancos.

Real Madrid got off to a flying start, jumping to a 2–0 lead early in the match. However, they struggled to contain Barcelona’s relentless attack and trailed 4–2 by halftime. Mbappe completed his hat trick in the second half, but the comeback fell short as Madrid suffered yet another El Clásico defeat.

No Real Madrid player addressed the media immediately after the game—not even through the club’s own channels. A day later, Mbappe broke the silence with an Instagram post, writing: “Painful but we will come back. ¡HalaMadrid!”

Alongside the message, Mbappe shared two photos: one showing him in a serious moment during the match, and another applauding the fans who had traveled to Montjuic to support the team. His words, while brief, were enough to spark hope and unity among supporters.

With the result, Barcelona extended their lead over Real Madrid to seven points. With only three matches remaining in the La Liga season, many believe the title is now out of reach. Still, Mbappe’s message shows a mindset focused not only on recovery—but on what lies ahead next season.

Mbappe’s goal scoring form contrasts with team results

While Mbappe needed time to adjust in his debut campaign with Real Madrid, his form has since taken off. The Frenchman has re-established himself as one of the most dangerous forwards in the world, though his brilliance hasn’t always translated into team success this season.

In 52 appearances across all competitions, Mbappe has scored 38 goals—surpassing Iván Zamorano’s record for most goals in a debut season with the club. He also leads the La Liga scoring charts with 27 goals over Robert Lewandowski’s 25. Individually, it’s been an exceptional campaign.

However, Mbappe has now lost all four El Clasicos played in his first year with Real Madrid. On top of that, the club has fallen short in both of its top priorities: the La Liga title and the UEFA Champions League. His performances have shone—but the results around him have not.
