Liverpool face three-way fight with Premier League rivals as shock player’s future ‘plunged into doubt’

Liverpool are considering joining a bidding war with their Premier League rivals for one of the best players in Europe who could be set to make a shock move.

With just two matches left in the 2024-25 Premier League season, fans are already starting to look ahead to the summer transfer window ahead of it opening in less than three weeks.

Heading into the summer, it appears almost certain that the biggest talking points will centre around forwards as several of the biggest clubs in England look set to strengthen their attack ahead of next season.

With that in mind, a new report has claimed that Liverpool will battle it out with two of their biggest Premier League rivals as a shocking player could be prepared to leave his current club.

Liverpool fans know better than anyone that Real Madrid appear to be building a new Galacticos team as they bring together several of the best players in the world.

But, with the likes of Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr all a part of Real’s starting lineup, it’s easy to see why some players may feel overshadowed or be worried about their minutes.

And, according to a report from Rousing The Kop, that is exactly why Real Madrid star Rodrygo could be available this summer.

The report claims that the Brazilian winger’s future at the Bernebeu has been called into question as he has been forced to accept a smaller role than in previous seasons due to the wealth of attacking talent available at the club.

Although Rodrygo has been a regular part of Real’s attacking lineup this season, teammates Endrick, Arda Guler and Brahim Diaz will all challenge for his spot in the immediate future.

Should the 24-year-old make it clear that he’d be prepared to leave this summer, then Liverpool will almost certainly make a move, after they previously tried to sign Rodrygo from Santos as a teenager.

However, Liverpool won’t be the only Premier League club interested in pursuing a deal for Rodrygo, as both Manchester City and Arsenal are long-term admirers of the winger and would be ready to bid should he become available.
