Fabrizio Romano says Arsenal ready to trigger Dean Huijsen’s release clause

Romano has taken to X to claim that Arsenal are “ready to trigger” Huijsen’s £50million release clause, with Liverpool and Chelsea also prepared to do so.

Romano’s report comes in the wake of Real Madrid emerging as serious suitors for the 20-year-old defender.

In a blow to Huijsen’s Premier League suitors, Romano has claimed that the Cherries ace “dreams” of a move to the Bernabeu.

Real are aware of this as they hold internal talks with Xabi Alonso over signing a new centre-back, added Romano.

What are Bournemouth planning to do with Dean Huijsen?

Romano recently claimed that Huijsen’s Premier League suitors want to get a deal done by the end of May.

Meanwhile, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey confirmed that Bournemouth also want the Huijsen deal done quickly so they can reinvest the money elsewhere.

However, there is no pressure on the player himself – the “phenomenal” £50million man won’t be rushed into anything, sources have confirmed to TBR Football.

Speculation over Huijsen’s future has really stepped up in recent days and, if everything goes to plan, his future will be settled sooner rather than later.

However, there’s a risk that Huijsen will not even be in the Premier League next season, with Real Madrid an alluring option for most of the world’s top talents.
