TBR Football can confirm that Barcelona have an active interest in Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford, heading into the summer.
The Catalan club are in the market for another forward and as TBR Football has already confirmed, Barca are keen on soon-to-be free agent Jonathan David.
However, they are also looking at potential additions to the wide areas. Nico Williams and Rafa Leao are both on their radar, but so too are Greenwood and Rashford.
Both Manchester United academy graduates have impressed in 2025 and Barca have very much been keeping a close eye on their situations.
Barcelona targeting Marcus Rashford deal
Sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey that Barcelona do have an interest in signing Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford this summer.
The 27-year-old joined Aston Villa on loan in January and impressed under Unai Emery. Villa have a £40m buy option on Rashford.
Villa are open to making Rashford’s loan move permanent, but the winger, who earned an England recall, is considering his options and a move to Barca is seen as his favoured option.
TBR Football can reveal that the Spanish league leaders appreciate his versatility and his ability to play off both the left and also centrally.
Barcelona also keen on Mason Greenwood
Rashford is not the only option Barca are looking at, with United’s former winger Greenwood another player who they are big admirers of.
Only Ousmane Dembele has scored more Ligue 1 goals than Greenwood this season, and like Rashford, his ability to play in a number of positions is appealing.
United sold Greenwood to Marseille for £26.6m in July 2024, and included a 50 percent sell-on clause and also a buy-back option.
Atletico Madrid are also keeping tabs on Greenwood, whilst TBR Football can confirm that there is some interest within the Premier League about offering Greenwood a return to England.
Sources with knowledge of the situation have named two clubs that have discussed the option of Greenwood, but at this point, a move to Spain is much more likely.
