In the race for Leao, Premier League outfit Chelsea have supposedly opened talks with the Portugal international over a possible switch to Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile in Catalonia, Barcelona are close to snatching the La Liga crown from Real Madrid, who won the Spanish title and Champions League last term.

Hansi Flick‘s side won a seven-goal thriller against Los Blancos last time out, meaning that the La Liga title is all-but secured heading into the final matches.

Barcelona considering Leao move?

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Barcelona are planning for significant changes in their forward line ahead of the 2025-26 Spanish campaign.

The report claims that one of Flick’s star players could be departing during the off-season, with Raphinha‘s future at Camp Nou uncertain at this stage.

It is understood that Barca will target the capture of AC Milan star Leao in the eventuality of the Brazilian leaving the club this summer.

Barcelona’s hierarchy supposedly believe that the 25-year-old possesses the speed, technicality and versatility to be success in Flick’s squad.

Unsurprisingly, the Rossoneri are said to be reluctant to part ways with Leao and will demand a significant fee to lure him from San Siro.

Leao’s Milan career

Since making the high-profile switch from French club Lille to AC Milan in August 2019, Leao has featured on 260 occasions, scoring 70 goals.

The 25-year-old enjoyed his best goalscoring campaign for the Rossoneri in 2022-23, when he netted 16 times across 48 competitive appearances.

Leao has hit double figures in both goals and assists for four straight terms, highlighting his consistency and importance to the Italian giants.
