Liverpool are set to lose Trent Alexander-Arnold this summer as his contract edges ever closer to expiry.
Alexander-Arnold is set to join Real Madrid for next season after Liverpool confirmed that the right-back would be leaving in the summer.
The news hasn’t gone down well amongst some fans, with Alexander-Arnold receiving boos when he took to the pitch against Arsenal at the weekend.
Conor Bradley, who is likely to become Liverpool’s first-choice right-back next season, started the match before coming off in the 67th minute.
Jamie Carragher has now shared what he thinks Arne Slot should do with Alexander-Arnold over the final two games of the season.
Jamie Carragher wants Trent Alexander-Arnold out of the Liverpool starting XI
Carragher, speaking on It’s Called Soccer, urged Slot to keep Alexander-Arnold out of the Liverpool starting XI.
The only exception, according to Carragher, is if Bradley “really needs to come off”.
“What I do think the manager should do now,” began Carragher.
“He shouldn’t be starting the next two games anyway, which I don’t think he would’ve regardless of the booing.
“But that has to come into his mind in terms of the changes he makes.
“Unless Conor Bradley really needs to come off, leave him on there for the two games.
“I don’t think Trent needs to be involved, there’s no reason at all why he needs to be involved at Brighton.”
What Jamie Carragher thinks Liverpool should do in the transfer market in wake of Trent Alexander-Arnold exit
Bradley has been Alexander-Arnold’s understudy for a number of years now, but he’s likely to become the first-choice right-back next term.
Carragher recently spoke about what he’d like to see Liverpool do in the transfer market once Alexander-Arnold leaves.

The Anfield legend said Bradley – who Danny Murphy previously called “incredible” on BBC Sport – should become the first-choice right-back.
Carragher also said Liverpool should look to sign a versatile defender in the mould of Joe Gomez, claiming a less injury-prone alternative is needed.
“I think the way for Liverpool to go if Trent moves on is for Conor Bradley to be given his head,” said Carragher.
“But also for Liverpool to buy maybe a utility player who can play across the back four.
“Maybe what Joe Gomez has been for Liverpool over the last few years, but unfortunately he picks up a lot of injuries.
“So I think Conor Bradley should be given his head, and Liverpool probably need to buy, to bring in a utility defender who can maybe play at centre-back and right-back.”
