Will Tottenham make the loan a permanent move for the young Frenchman?

Is Bayern Munich’s on-loan youngster Mathys Tel going to be able to prolong his Tottenham Hotspur stay? A report this week in Sport Bild suggests that Spurs would like to see it happen — but not at any cost. As captured by @iMiaSanMia:

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is very interested in signing Mathys Tel permanently. Bayern are ready to negotiate a lower fee than the €50m option to buy if Tottenham make a serious move [@cfbayern, @altobelli13]

BFW Analysis

Tel should be the Bayern prospect to fetch the most value back on the transfer market this summer, but even he is not looking like his stock his high.

The 20-year-old French attacker with the mega-high ceiling and sweet strike has not decisively convinced either in Bavaria or on loan in the second half of this season in England…and if Bayern sell him now, the Rekordmeister will be selling low on a player they hoped would blossom into a superstar when they brought him in at significant cost from Rennes in 2022.

Hear me out: another chance under Vincent Kompany in a Bayern attack that could use minutes for a pacy young winger/forward?
