However, the outing would allow Brendan Rodgers to monitor the Dons minutely ahead of locking horns again in the Scottish Cup final.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen would aim for a result in their own backyard with their European spot at stake. Dundee United are within three points of Jimmy Thelin’s men, and a win against the Light Blues could see them climb up to fourth if the Dons fail to snatch at least a point before the weekend’s showdown versus the Tangerines.

Defence
