The German center-back set to be available for the Bavarians in the Club World Cup.
Bayern Munich are set to bring in Jonathan Tah within the next week. The Bayer Leverkusen man is set to be well in time before the start of the Club World Cup. The new format tournament set in the USA is targeted to be the testing ground for newcomers such as Tom Bischof and Tah.
Per a report by kicker’s Frank Linkesch (via @iMiaSanMia), Tah’s next club is finalised. The 29-year-old central defender will be moving to Bayern as early as next week. This will give the club and the player plenty of time to settle in with each other. He will be replacing the outgoing Eric Dier, who is on the move to AS Monaco at the end of the season.
The Club World Cup is also a massive marketing exercise to expand the American football (soccer) audience. Undertaken by FIFA, this tournament will take place exactly one year before the FIFA World Cup in the same locations. This has incentivized many top clubs to bring their best players and add prestige to the CWC.
