Exclusive: £25m Arsenal target is free to leave this summer after failing to agree a new contract

3 Min Read

Juventus have failed to agree a new contract with Dusan Vlahovic who won’t be presented with another offer, TBR Football can exclusively reveal.

Vlahovic has long been linked with a move to England and Arsenal have long-standing interest in the Serbian striker.

Arsenal tried to buy Vlahovic before he moved to Juventus in 2022 — a striker who Mikel Arteta was keen to bring to the Emirates instead.

In the same summer, Arsenal recruited Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, a striker who might be on the periphery of Arteta’s plans were he not injured.

The Gunners are determined to buy a striker this summer, and Andrea Berta is currently chasing Viktor Gyokeres at Sporting CP.

However, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Juventus have now decided to walk away from contract negotiations with Vlahovic given that the striker won’t accept a drop in wages.

Vlahovic has been a lot happier since the Italian side appointed Igor Tudor as their new manager, and Juventus do plan to take the striker to the Club World Cup.

However, Vlahovic will be there to put him in the shop window, if nothing else.

Vlahovic’s representatives and intermediaries are working hard to line up potential options for the striker this summer.

And whilst Arsenal have stayed in touch about the striker’s situation, who remains on the club’s radar, Vlahovic is not seen as someone who Berta is prioritising.

Likewise, Manchester United are fond of Vlahovic, but again due to finances he is not seen as a priority.

Although, Vlahovic’s representatives have been in touch with several other Premier League sides too.

Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur have been spoken to, as have Nottingham Forest.

However, it is likely that any of those clubs would need a Champions League finish to entice the striker to England.

That being said, Forest could emerge as a serious option for Vlahovic given he’d have the chance to link up with his international teammate and good friend, Nikola Milenkovic.

Premier League sides have been told that Vlahovic could be available for as little as £25m this summer, which does make him an attractive option.

TBR can confirm that Galatasaray are paying close attention to Vlahovic given that they are likely to lose loan star Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen is likely to leave Napoli permanently this summer, although just like Vlahovic, a move to England is believed to be his preferred option.
