Dean Huijsen looks set to snub interest from three Premier League clubs as Real Madrid makes moves to secure the Bournemouth defender. The Spanish giants are believed to be ready to meet his $66 million (£50 million) release clause.
Huijsen has only been with the Cherries for a year, having transferred from Juventus last summer, but his standout performances have attracted attention from several clubs, including Liverpool, while Arsenal and Chelsea have shown interest in the 20-year-old.
Bayern Munich has also been monitoring the center-back, but it’s Real who has made the first move in a bid to sign the Bournemouth star. Real has indicated it is willing to pay his release clause, which could net the south coast club a tidy profit of over $50 million.
According to Sky Sports, Huijsen’s preference would be a transfer to Los Blancos. Any other interested clubs would need to pull out all the stops to demonstrate their eagerness to sign him, but it seems his decision may already be made.
The Spanish heavyweights had previously expressed interest in Huijsen before his move to Juventus, maintaining a positive relationship with his representatives. It’s believed that up to five Premier League teams have held discussions with his agents, along with clubs from LaLiga and the Bundesliga.
Huijsen once commented on the speculation surrounding his future: “Do a lot of teams want me? I don’t know. Madrid is a big team, and every player wants to play as much as possible.

“Do I want to play for Real Madrid? I don’t know. We’ll see. A friend called me and said, ‘Go to Real Madrid’. I laughed. ‘What am I supposed to say?’ Another friend is also pushing Barcelona.”
It appears Real Madrid is poised to secure Trent Alexander-Arnold’s services this summer, with the player looking set to depart Liverpool upon the expiration of his contract. Xabi Alonso is being touted as the likely new gaffer at the Bernabeu after Carlo Ancelotti’s exit.
Bournemouth has its sights set on European football this season, potentially recording a finest ever finish in the Premier League. This form has inevitably led to rumors regarding key players seeking pastures new, with Milos Kerkez attracting attention from English sides.

Andoni Iraola remains untroubled by talk of transfers, seeing it as part and parcel of the game. He’s stated: “We will focus on trying to improve the team, and add new players if we can, and if some player leaves because someone comes with what the club considers to be a good offer, we have to be ready for those situations, but not with fear.
“It is something that all the clubs, especially the ones who are not at the highest level like the top, top teams, have to get used to.”
