Arsenal vs Newcastle United: Arsenal welcome Newcastle United to the Emirates with the pressure on to pick up three points in the Premier League. Arteta’s side have shown consistency at home and will be looking to impose their pace from the start. Accuracy in short passing and intensity in high pressing will be key to maintaining control of the match.

Newcastle arrive in confident mood after a 2-0 win over Chelsea, with goals from Tonali and Guimaraes reflecting their balance between defensive solidity and effectiveness up front. Since December, Howe’s side have been on a roll, picking up points and climbing the table.

The Magpies are still in with a chance of finishing second, which would be a historic finish to the season. They won the EFL Cup in March, which eased a long wait without silverware. Now they are aiming high in the league. However, they have important absentees: Targett and Hall are ruled out, while Trippier, Botman, Joelinton and Willock arrive injured.

Arsenal know they cannot be complacent. Newcastle have the punch, and if they can contain them for the first 20 minutes, they can find space. The tempo will be high, and every mistake can define the outcome in a match that promises tension and quality.

3-4-3 Newcastle United Predicted Starting Lineup Against Arsenal:

Defense:

Krafth, Schär and Burn look to be Eddie Howe’s chosen line of three to hold their own at the Emirates. Schär brings leadership and play-reading ability, while Burn imposes physicality in aerial duels. Krafth, meanwhile, covers wide spaces well and can provide the attacking runs. This defence is not technically gifted, but they have shown order and commitment. Without Trippier and Botman, the back line will have to stay focused throughout the game. Communication between them will be key to stopping Arsenal’s attacks. Any mistake could be costly against such an incisive opponent.

Midfield:

In the middle, Guimaraes and Tonali will form the double pivot with the ability to cover a lot of ground and control the tempo. The Brazilian is in charge of building from the back and protecting the defence. Tonali, with his work rate, covers space and accelerates transitions. On the flanks, Murphy and Livramento provide width and energy. Murphy will be tasked with pressing high, while Livramento will look to close down space on the left and provide attacking options.

Attack:

The forward line has mobility, pace as Barnes will start from the right with the freedom to cut inside and shoot. Gordon will lead as a central striker, looking for diagonal balls and fighting with the centre-backs. Isak will play more openly on the left, although he will tend to float in to link up and generate superiority. The three of them move without fixed positions, which can confuse the opposing defence. This attacking lineup needs precision and some patience for their moments to shine. If they can link up well with the midfielders, they can create several clear-cut chances.
