Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick could make four changes to his starting side for Sunday’s La Liga clash with Villarreal.
The Catalan giants were crowned La Liga champions for the 2024-25 campaign courtesy of their 2-0 win over Espanyol on Thursday.
The title winners will still be aiming to pick up two more victories before the end of the season, though, and it is likely that Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski will again all start in the final third of the field.
Inigo Martinez is back from a suspension, though, and the Spaniard is set to return in the middle of the defence.
There could be two further changes to the defensive unit on Sunday, with Pau Cubarsi and Alejandro Balde also in line to feature.
Fermin Lopez came off the bench to score against Espanyol in the Catalan derby, and it is possible that the Spaniard could now be given the nod in the number 10 position, with Dani Olmo dropping down to the bench.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen is fit after a lengthy period on the sidelines, and the Germany international will certainly be in the manager’s thinking when he considers changes for this weekend’s fixture.
However, it is expected that Wojciech Szczesny will again be given the nod between the sticks.
Barcelona possible starting lineup: Szczesny; E Garcia, Cubarsi, I Martinez, Balde; De Jong, Pedri; Yamal, Fermin, Raphinha; Lewandowski
