Liverpool’s summer transfer window could be set to start with a bang.
Indeed, the Reds aren’t wasting any time in getting going this summer, as they’re already lining up some exciting deals.
Florian Wirtz has been linked to Liverpool in recent days, while, according to some, Jeremie Frimpong is close to joining Liverpool.
These are two exciting deals to say the least, and writing in his column on SportsKeeda, Paul Merson has shared his reaction to Jeremie Frimpong potentially heading to Anfield.
The pundit believes this is a brilliant deal at just £35m, claiming that in this day and age, that represents a serious bargain.

Paul Merson reacts to Jeremie Frimpong’s move to Liverpool
Merson shared his verdict on Frimpong potentially heading to Anfield.
The pundit is very excited by this potential move, as well as Florian Wirtz’s touted switch to Merseyside.
Indeed, Merson reckons these are the types of signings that can help Liverpool dominate world football going forwards.
“There is talk of them signing Jeremie Frimpong and reports of an enquiry about Florian Wirtz. That kind of recruitment is what will help you dominate football. Some teams refuse to do that after finding success and they get caught!” Merson wrote.
“We’re hearing the release clause for Frimpong is just £35 million, that’s a brilliant deal for a player of his quality. A cup of tea at this day and age if you ask me.”
Florian Wirtz’s record alongside Jeremie Frimpong
Merson says that signing Wirtz and Frimpong can help them dominate football, and this is a partnership that has already paid dividends over in Germany.
Of course, Wirtz and Frimpong are already teammates at Bayer Leverkusen, and it’s fair to say they have an incredible record together for the Bundesliga outfit.

Wirtz and Frimpong have been borderline unbeatable together for Leverkusen for long periods – particularly last season, and if they can recreate that magic together at Liverpool, the Reds should be in a great position to challenge for top honours again next season.
The Arne Slot era at Liverpool could get a whole lot more exciting after this summer transfer window.
