Manchester United and Tottenham will both play later today in the Premier League. Both sides have been given some extra time to prepare for the Europa League final in Bilbao, which is set to take place on Wednesday.
Ruben Amorim’s side takes on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, while Spurs are away at Aston Villa. Manchester United is 16th as things stand, with Ange Postecoglou’s men a point behind in 17th. Enzo Maresca and Unai Emery’s teams are chasing the Champions League spots and are tied on 63 points — two behind fourth-placed Manchester City — at the moment.
In a season that has gone even more wrong than anyone could have imagined, Manchester United has other things to focus on than a trip to Chelsea. Likewise, Spurs will have more than one eye on next week as they play at Villa Park.
Both games will be shown live on Sky Sports in the UK. Aston Villa vs Spurs kicks off at 7.30pm UK time (2.30pm ET), while Chelsea vs Manchester United is 45 minutes later.

In the US, the Chelsea vs Manchester United game will be on Peacock and available to stream via those services. The Aston Villa vs Spurs match is on NBC, where it can be streamed online.

“Moi [Caicedo] is also a player who deserves Champions League, and Enzo Fernandez and Levi Colwill.
“This is the reason why we have been there, and we are going to try to finish there. We have many players in terms of status who deserve to play Champions League.”
Manchester United is going to finish in a remarkably low position in the table but could qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League. And that is the main focus for Amorim.

“If there is a player that can get an injury [and is] not recovered for this game so [it] will put him in risk for the final, he will not play,” Amorim said in his pre-match press conference.
“But if it’s not that situation, we will have a lot of time to recover, and we cannot spend eight days, nine days without a game. That is a bad thing for the final so I think they will be prepared for the game.
“The best thing to prepare the final is to play the game. The players have to understand that if you play or don’t play against Chelsea, it means nothing to the final, that is important.
“I’m just preparing the game of Chelsea, that is my focus. We want to win and we want to perform.”
