Liverpool have not only won the Premier League title this season, but they’ve also managed to sign two of their best players to new contracts.
For a number of months, it seemed touch and go regarding the futures of Liverpool trio Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
However, with a few games still left this season, all three players’ futures have been settled – and Salah and Van Dijk are both staying at Anfield.
Now, Salah has made a revelation about his contract talks to Gary Neville, leaving the Sky Sports pundit stunned.

Mohamed Salah says he felt he only had a 10 percent chance of staying at Liverpool
Neville interviewed Salah on Sky Sports ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday night.
The former Manchester United ace asked Salah how likely he felt he was to actually remain at Liverpool, and the Reds ace admitted that it wasn’t very high at all.
Neville asked Salah: “If you had to give me a percentage of how confident you were going to stay at the start of the season what would that percentage have been?”
Salah replied: “Based on the club’s history, 10 percent. Yeah, because I knew the philosophy of the club.
“I’m not attacking them, I know how they deal with players over 30 in the past. I know how this situation would be.
“I did not expect the club would say ‘two years there.’ We reached a point with the money where we were all happy.
“I didn’t expect I am going to stay, in my head I would not stay.”
In response, Neville simply said: “Wow!”.
How Mohamed Salah wowed Arne Slot on the Dutchman’s first day at Liverpool
Salah’s Liverpool adventure is not over yet, and credit goes to Richard Hughes and Arne Slot for the part they’ve played in convincing all parties to find a solution.
The Dutch manager recently revealed what impressed him the most about Salah when he first arrived at Liverpool.
Slot revealed that, when he arrived, Salah was in at training already, and the Egypt international finished first in the running test.
“Mo was already there on the first day because he didn’t have a tournament (international),” Slot told Sky Sports.
“And that impressed me from the start because we did a test, a running test, and he was number one.
“You hope for this that that one of your star players has that mentality to show up on the first training and be the fittest one.”
