Chelsea are ready for a major summer clear-out of players.
Despite efforts to trim their first-team squad over the past few transfer windows, they still have a large number of players available, and those numbers will be swelled further by the return of at least 12 loanees.
Room also needs to be made for potential arrivals as well.
And that means that the club may be willing to listen to offers for almost anybody, with only Cole Palmer, and Moises Caicedo regarded as “untouchables”. Caicedo has been the subject of interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, but Chelsea do not want to sell the midfielder, who they bought from Brighton for a British record fee.
One player who could definitely be out of the door is defender Trevoh Chalobah. He was recalled from his loan spell with Crystal Palace in January, but is likely to be no more than a back-up option next season.
