Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Rodrygo Goes from Real Madrid.

All eyes will be on a new striker this summer, but Arsenal really need a wide player as well – someone who can play on either flank.
Rodrygo checks those boxes, and there is now an update on his situation at the Santiago Bernabeu.
‘Keep an eye’ on Arsenal and Rodrygo Goes
Rodrygo Goes has been a regular for Real Madrid over the years.
The Brazil international is often overshadowed by the likes of Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe at the Santiago Bernabeu, but he is still a brilliant player.
Jude Bellingham even believes Rodrygo is the most talented player at Real Madrid, ahead of the other superstars at the club.
Despite that, there is a chance that the versatile attacker could be on the move this summer, and Alex Crook has been told to ‘keep an eye’ on Arsenal potentially signing him.
The journalist said on talkSPORT: “I got a message earlier this week saying keep an eye on Arsenal and Rodrygo.”
ESPN’s Sam Marsden replied: “Yeah, more than a suggestion (that he could leave). I think that Real Madrid have to make a big decision this summer. Rodrygo seems to be the one that’s being pushed towards the door,
“I think one of Rodrygo or potentially even Vinicius Jr has to go. Because you’ve got [Kylian] Mbappe, you’ve got Vinicius Jr, they all want that same space. I don’t know how much of a say Xabi Alonso will have in things. Rodrygo has made it clear he wants to play on the left, he’s been playing on the right at Real Madrid so he’s the most obvious one to go.
“But, Vinicius Jr might be a bigger money-spinner, and may actually fix their problems a little bit more because they’ve kind of got that status problem between Vinicius Jr, Mbappe, [Jude] Bellingham in the shadows as well.”
Rodrygo could get his wish at Arsenal
Rodrygo has played 267 games for Real Madrid over the years.
The Brazil international has been excellent for them more often than not, but he has rarely ever played in his preferred position.
Just 43 of Rodrygo’s 267 games at Real Madrid have come on the left wing – that’s just 16 per cent.
At Arsenal, the 24-year-old will start over Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard on the left flank, and the fact that Bukayo Saka plays on the opposite side means Rodrygo will not be pushed there.
Arteta is a big fan of Rodrygo, but it remains to be seen if Arsenal can strike a deal with Real Madrid for him this summer.
