WIll the Peruvian break through?

Bayern Munich youngster Felipe Chávez is drawing a lot of interest on the market and was involved in first team training on Friday. While the young Peruvian will not dress against Hoffenheim, his inclusion in training was another feather in his cap:

Felipe Chávez (18) was involved in first team training yesterday and today as a reward for his strong performances for the youth teams this season. Chávez still won’t be in the squad against Hoffenheim tomorrow, but the fact he’s now training with the first team suggests that he’s getting closer. Chávez’s contract expires at the end of the season. Several Bundesliga clubs have already expressed interest in him.

It seems as if Chávez is the latest in a long line of attacking midfield-type players who have emerged from the academy. While eventually making it to the first team has proven to be a tall task for many of those players, Chávez seems more than willing to throw his hat in the ring to be the next academy player to breakthrough to the senior squad.
