Saudi clubs ‘queueing up’ for Premier League star Arne Slot is a huge fan of

Several clubs in the Saudi Pro League are interested in signing West Ham star Mohammed Kudus during the upcoming summer transfer window. West Ham is said to be preparing to part ways with the 24-year-old, with Graham Potter planning to overhaul his squad after a disappointing spell since taking charge of the club earlier in the season.

Kudus has a $113 million release clause in his contract, but it is reported that a fee of $86 million to $93 million would be enough to tempt the Hammers to part ways with the forward.

Liverpool has been frequently linked with Kudus this season, and Arne Slot said last month that the 24-year-old was “incredible all game” during Liverpool’s 2-1 win over West Ham, but it appears unlikely that Kudus will be making the move to Anfield in the off-season.

Kudus’ versatility would be an asset to any prospective suitor, but Liverpool’s priority in attack this summer lies in signing an out-and-out striker.

Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota, the Reds’ two current senior strikers, have managed just 11 Premier League goals between them this season, with much of the goal-scoring burden having fallen on wide players like Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz.

The anticipated sale of Nunez will help to raise funds for a new striker, with Liverpool expecting there to be a strong market for the Uruguayan after rejecting approaches from clubs in Saudi Arabia during the winter window.

One of the offers, from Al-Hilal, was reported to have been worth $93 million, and if the club can command a similar fee this summer, it could go some way to ensuring the Reds can replace Nunez with a top-class striker.

Newcastle’s Alexander Isak would be Liverpool’s preferred target but he is likely to prove too expensive, while the Reds have also been linked with the likes of Julian Alvarez, Viktor Gyokeres, and Benjamin Sesko of Atletico Madrid, Sporting CP, and RB Leipzig respectively.

A surprise name that Liverpool is currently being linked with is Christopher Nkunku, with the Reds reportedly ready to offer him a Premier League lifeline after opening talks with the striker.

Nkunku has failed to establish himself at Chelsea since moving to Stamford Bridge in 2023 and is expected to push for a move away from the club during the summer transfer window.

Foot Mercato reports that a deal for Nkunku for a cut-price fee appeals to Liverpool as Slot searches for a new striker to lead the line during the 2025-26 season.
