Speaking to Amazon, Wayne Rooney has named the three players he wants United to sign this summer, and he’s made a very interesting suggestion.
Rooney actually wants United to re-sign one of their former players this summer, claiming that David De Gea should be a target.

Rooney named the three players he wants United to sign this summer.
Intriguingly, the player at the top of Rooney’s list was none other than David De Gea.
Of course, De Gea was released by Manchester United back in 2023, and he didn’t find a club for an entire year before signing for Fiorentina.
“My three signings would probably be. I’d probably sign David De Gea back, I think Manchester United have missed him and I think he could still do a good job for Manchester United,” Rooney said.
Andre Onana has been heavily criticised this season, and Rooney believes that the former Ajax man needs replacing in the Manchester United goal.
De Gea initially signed for United in 2011 for £19m, and now Rooney wants the Spaniard back at Old Trafford.

Alongside De Gea, Wayne Rooney has suggested another two signings for Manchester United.
Manchester United need a striker, Rasmus Hojlund has been criticised recently, so, Rooney wants Victor Osimhen to join United.
“Second one, I’d probably sign Osimhen as a number nine. I think he’s a really good striker, and he’s available,” Rooney said.
As his third option, Rooney then claimed he’d like to see Marc Guehi signed from Crystal Palace.
“Third one I’d try, it would be difficult, but I’d try to sign Guehi from Crystal Palace.” Rooney said.
De Gea, Osimhen and Guehi would be three solid signings for United, but whether or not the Red Devils try to pursue any of these deals this summer remains to be seen.
