Given that Arsenal’s season is already over in a trophy-winning capacity, fans in N5 are likely watching their remaining games pondering next season.
Andrea Berta will have a significant transfer kitty at Arsenal and Mikel Arteta will be working very closely with the Italian.
Throughout the summer, Viktor Gyokeres’ name is bound to dominate a lot of the headlines.
Arsenal have wanted a new striker for a long while now and the Swede appears to be Berta’s first choice.
Berta has spoken glowingly about Gyokeres behind the scenes at Arsenal and the striker seems ready to return to England.
However, it’s not just a striker who Arsenal want — Berta is targeting upgrades in several areas.
Joan Garcia should refuse to sign for Arsenal
As part of Arsenal’s summer spending, the Gunners are expected to recruit a new goalkeeper.
Arsenal loaned Neto from Bournemouth at the last minute on deadline day last summer to act as David Raya’s cover.
But Neto hasn’t impressed at Arsenal and Arteta wants a new number two once the Brazilian returns to the south coast.
By all accounts, Arsenal are determined to sign Joan Garcia from Espanyol, a superb young goalkeeper intended to compete with Raya.

However, if Garcia watched Raya’s performance against Newcastle at the Emirates on Sunday — he should immediately say no to a move.
If Arsenal make an offer and Garcia chooses to join the Gunners, he has to believe that he can one day win Raya’s starting spot — he’s too good to simply wait as a number two.
And given that Raya was absolutely superb with his shot-stopping against Newcastle, particularly in the first half, Arsenal do not need a replacement.
Garcia should immediately rebuff Arsenal and look for a club where he’s going to remain number one, and that actually might still be in the Premier League.
Joan Garcia should give Unai Emery a call
Instead of pursuing a move to Arsenal, Garcia should actually be giving Unai Emery a call in the coming weeks.
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez could leave Aston Villa this summer in an unexpected move, meaning Emery will be looking for a new number one.
And according to reports, Villa could make a push to sign Garcia ahead of Arsenal.
Garcia rejecting a move to Arsenal would undoubtedly be a blow for the Gunners, especially if he strengthened their Premier League rivals instead.
But Arsenal don’t need to replace Raya to win the Premier League or Champions League — he’s definitely good enough.
Garcia is available for £25m this summer, and whilst it’s an excellent move for Arsenal, it’s not for the Spaniard himself.
