The Bavarians rocked and rolled their way to a 4-0 win in the finale.
That was good, right?
First-year Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany capped off his Bundesliga-winning season in style with a 4-0 win over TSG Hoffenheim.
The victory is a Bundesliga send-off for Thomas Müller, Eric Dier, and maybe others…and despite not being at the Allianz Arena, was as feel good as it could get for the visiting Bayern fans.
The Bavarians looked easily like the dominant team in the league in every aspect of the game, keeping a clean sheet while overpowering the hapless Hoffenheim defense. In the end, four goals was lucky — or unlucky — not to be more, and Bayern came just shy of 100 Bundesliga goals on the season, a mark last achieved in 2019/20.
There wasn’t a lot of time for youth in what was a competitively meaningless game, but then, the seniors were able to put their best foot forward and end the season on a resoundingly dominant note.
How do you feel about the way Bayern played? We’ll give them, aw heck, 10/10. That felt good. But let us know your thoughts below…
Next, to turn the page to the Club World Cup. It’s only next month, but it will technically be next season — or at least, a weird in between the 2024/25 and 2025/26 campaigns.
