The battle for second in the Premier League is likely to be decided today as Arsenal hosts Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium.

Despite having been Liverpool’s closest challenger for most of the season, the Gunners are in real danger of being overtaken by the Magpies, who sit just two points behind them in the table. What’s more, Mikel Arteta’s side is still yet to guarantee Champions League football for next season, although a win today would secure a top-five finish at least.

Newcastle, though, is aiming to finish the season strongly – a win in North London should be enough to secure a place at Europe’s top table for next season, with Eddie Howe’s side aiming to lead the chasing pack.

Here’s all you need to know in order to be able to watch the match…

What time is kick-off?

The game kicks off at 4:30 pm in the UK, which is 8:30 am Pacific Time and 11:30 am Eastern Time in the US. Simon Hooper is the referee for the clash at the Emirates Stadium, with Andy Madley on VAR duty. The two sides last met back in February when Newcastle beat Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-finals on its way to winning at Wembley. In fact, the Magpies have won all three meetings between the two sides this season.

Is the match on TV?

Fans in the UK will be able to watch game live on Sky Sports. Coverage begins straight after West Ham’s game vs Nottingham Forest, which kicks off at 2:15 pm, on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event.

In the US, the game can be watched live on the USA Network and streamed via NBC.com.

Early team news

Arsenal could have Kai Havertz back available for the first time in four months today. Mikel Arteta has revealed a late decision will be made on the German international, who had been feared to have been out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his hamstring back in January.

The Gunners though still have doubts over Declan Rice, who missed last weekend’s draw at Liverpool, as well as Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli and Jurrien Timber. Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Magalhaes and Takehiro Tomiyasu remain out injured, while Mikel Merino is out suspended after his red card at Anfield.

As for Newcastle, Kieran Trippier, Matt Targett, Joelinton and Lewis Hall are all expected to miss out through injury, while SVen Botman and Joe Willock are both doubtful.
