Man City lineup vs. Bournemouth: Predicted XI for Kevin De Bruyne’s final Citizens home game

Manchester City legend Kevin De Bruyne plays his final Premier League home game for the Citizens on Tuesday night, when Pep Guardiola‘s side welcome Bournemouth to their Etihad base.

The Belgian and his teammates are currently cutting forlorn figures after their 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final, where De Bruyne’s magical qualities eluded him when he needed them most.

However, the 33-year-old should still lead Man City out at the Etihad one last time this week, although it would not be a surprise to see him substituted in the second half, allowing the Sky Blues faithful to properly pay tribute to a departing icon.

De Bruyne will do his utmost to provide excellent service to Erling Haaland, while Omar Marmoush‘s painful penalty miss at Wembley should not impact his place in the XI, although the Egyptian could be shifted out wide here as Jeremy Doku drops out.

Savinho also struggled to make his mark on the Wembley turf, but the Brazilian may be better-equipped than Phil Foden to take on Milos Kerkez, unless Doku makes a rare start on the right-hand side.

Further back, Mateo Kovacic remains a doubt due to the knock he picked up before the FA Cup final, but Guardiola can still introduce some fresh legs into the engine room in the form of Nico Gonzalez and Ilkay Gundogan.

Matheus Nunes returning to his makeshift right-back role is not beyond the realm of possibility either, and it remains to be seen if Rico Lewis and James McAtee will return to the fold after being brutally snubbed for the FA Cup final.

Manchester City possible starting lineup:
Ederson; Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, O’Reilly; Gonzalez, Gundogan; Savinho, De Bruyne, Marmoush; Haaland
