Arsenal are already working hard to improve the attacking options available to Mikel Arteta next season.
Andrea Berta has seemingly arrived in north London determined to improve the status quo — he’s already spoken to several strikers about an Arsenal move.
Berta has spoken to Benjamin Sesko and the sporting director is also thought to appreciate Viktor Gyokeres’ skill-set at Sporting CP.
Although, it’s not just a striker who Arsenal will be targeting, they’re also in the market for a winger who can contribute goals on a regular basis.
Berta has identified the area as one for improvement at the Emirates and Arsenal have spoken to Nico Williams.
Arsenal pushing to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford
That being said, TNATS are now reporting that Arsenal have held talks to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
According to the information, Arsenal’s data team identified Mbeumo as a target last summer, only for a move to not materialise.

But the Gunners are now targeting Mbeumo again, which might be well-received news from fans in north London.
Talks are said to be ‘progressing’, although Arsenal are not the only team in the mix for Mbeumo’s signature according to the update.
Speaking earlier in the season Thierry Henry thought Mbeumo would leave Brentford after the season finished — a prediction that looks fairly accurate right now.
Manchester United are interested in Mbeumo as well and it’s easy to see why given that the Frenchman has scored 18 goals and provided eight assists in the Premier League so far this season.
Thomas Frank has also used the 25-year-old in a host of positions including at right wing-back across the season, a player who could offer so much to any English side.
Thomas Frank has said Bryan Mbeumo can leave
Of course, it’s worth noting that Frank has been very candid about the possibility of Mbeumo leaving this season.
For the right price, Mbeumo is free to leave west London to pursue a new challenge — an important principle of Brentford’s transfer strategy, and a commendable one.
Speaking last month, Frank said: “I want my best players to stay forever. I know that Bryan is very happy being here at Brentford, he’s thriving, doing well and playing fantastic. What happens in the future? I don’t know.
“I’ve said many times, we are a selling club, but at the same time we have to reinforce that there are ten clubs in the world who aren’t selling clubs.
“So, of course, if the right price – and that’s going to be expensive – is coming, then I’m sure the club will be open for it, but I’m very happy he’s here, and I’m convinced that Bryan will still be happy playing football here.”
Mbeumo is reportedly valued at £60m by Brentford, which seems like a reasonable price tag given his consistency in England.
