A total and thorough joy of success drives the machine like efficiency of the record champions.

Vincent Kompany has steered Bayern Munich to footballing glory in his first season at the club. Lifting the Meisterschale in his debut season at a club of Bayern’s stature is no mean task. Capping off the memorable victory, Kompany signaled humility and hunger in a beautiful message.

After an empty handed 2023/24 season, Kompany was expected to take over and hit the ground running. The Bayern team, a comprehensive mixture of youth, experience, winners and aspiring winners. Kompany had to handle and converge the players into one team with a steadfast vision. Truly championing the spirit of Bayern’s “Mia san mia”, Kompany stated his focus on winning and celebrating every title like its the first title.

A serial winner himself at Manchester City, Kompany in the post game interview(as captured by @iMiaSanMia), said “I told the guys: For me, it doesn’t matter how much you’ve won in your career – you should always celebrate as if it were your first league title. We’ll celebrate like we did for the first one – and then we’ll move on. I hope we win another ‘first’ league title next season.”

Here’s to hoping many more “first titles” follow under him. Cheers VK!
