What Everton fans were heard singing about Richarlison during their last game at Goodison Park

3 Min Read

Richarlison has been heavily linked with a return to Everton this summer.

Everton are interested in re-signing Richarlison ahead of next season as they are in the market to sign a brand-new striker as Dominic Calvert-Lewin is out of contract this summer.

Tottenham are happy to sell Richarlison as well, whose season has been marred by injuries and a lack of trust from Ange Postecoglou as a starter.

The Brazilian international’s time at Spurs has not lived up to the billing, with not just Postecoglou but even Antonio Conte not fancying him.

However, it seems like Everton still hugely admire Richarlison.

Everton fans show they want Richarlison return vs Southampton at Goodison Park

Understandably so as Richarlison produced 53 goals and 15 assists for Everton in 152 appearances.

But even the supporters seem to be huge fans of the former Watford forward to this day.

During Everton’s final game at Goodison Park against Southampton, Everton fans were heard singing Richarlison’s name.

The supporters were heard belting out a chant that goes: “He’s Brazilian, he only cost £50 million, and we think he’s f—– brilliant, Richarlison!” to the tune of ‘She’s Electric’ by Oasis.

What Richarlison will wait for before deciding his future at Tottenham

The 28-year-old must appreciate how much he is still loved in the blue half of Merseyside.

Richarlison knows Everton is his “best option” if he leaves Spurs in the summer.

However, the Nova Venecia-born forward will decide his future based on one factor.

Richarlison could stay at Tottenham if Ange Postecoglou is sacked and will only decide his next career move based on the Australian’s future as a new manager could potentially prioritise him.

The Lilywhites outcast’s main priority is to play regular football as he has set his sights on leading the line for Brazil at next year’s World Cup.

Tottenham value Richarlison at £40 million and perhaps Everton will feel it is time to make a move for their former player as quickly as possible to give their fans something to cheer about.
