Is change coming to Bayern Munich?
According to a report from Bild, Bayern Munich is not expecting any alterations to its offer to Leroy Sané and does not expect that player and his agent, Pini, Zahavi, to give in. With that, an exit is starting to appear more likely for Sané:
Internally, Bayern expect that there will be no changes on Leroy Sané’s situation and that he will leave the club on a free transfer this summer. Sané and Zahavi are unlikely to back down from their demands, while Bayern will remain firm and won’t present a higher offer.
Aside of this being the last real chance for Sané to ink a big money deal, one factor for the winger that has not been discussed much is Bayern Munich’s persistent pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen ace Florian Wirtz. If the Bavarians secure Wirtz, Sané would presumably head to the bench behind an attacking quartet of Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala, and Wirtz.
That might not be an appealing set-up for the Germany international.
Bayern Munich’s season is over, but we have plenty to talk about. Let’s discuss how we feel about the season and why fan expectations will be higher in 2025/26. We’ll also hit on Harry Kane’s statements, which seem to indicate that he could extend his contract, while also giving a breakdown of Bayern Munich’s big contract/transfer situations. Finally, we touch on Uli Hoeneß proving he has not lost a step with the media as he provided some commentary on the Florian Wirtz transfer saga. You can get the podcast on Patreon, Spotify, or below:
