It would be to find out the coaches who have managed the most Premier League clubs.

Thus, here are the football managers that have managed the most clubs in the Premier League.

1. Sam Allardyce – 9

9 clubs — (Bolton Wanderers, West Ham United, Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland, Everton, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion, and Leeds United).

Big Sam as he’s fondly known is no stranger to managing in the English-speaking top flight.

He has so far managed a total of 9 EPL clubs starting with Bolton Wanderers who he helped gain promotion in the early 2000s.

Sam Allardyce’s last coaching role was at Leeds United — the ninth club he managed.

Hrwas appointed as the manager of Premier League club Leeds United on 3 May 2023, replacing Javi Gracia with just four matches remaining in the 2022-23 season.

Unfortunately, Leeds finished in 19th place and were relegated to the Championship.

As a result, Allardyce left the club by mutual agreement on 2 June 2023. This made him the Premier League manager with the shortest tenure with 30 days, surpassing Les Reed’s record of 40 days at Charlton Athletic.

The other sides Allardyce has coached include Newcastle United, Blackburn Rovers, West Ham, Sunderland, Crystal Palace, and Everton.

2. Mark Hughes – 6

Mark Hughes is a former Welsh footballer who has had a successful coaching career. After retiring from playing, Hughes began his managerial career with the Wales national team in 1999. He later went on to manage several top-flight clubs in England.

Welsh manager Hughes has handled a plethora of clubs in the EPL since he made his club coaching debut with Blackburn Rovers in 2004.

Mark has also managed five other sides which include Manchester City, Fulham, Queens Park Rangers, Stoke City, and Southampton with varying levels of success.

Mark Hughes was appointed as the manager of Bradford City on 24 February 2022, with a contract that runs until the summer of 2024. This marked his first time managing a club outside of the Premier League.

3. Roy Hodgson

Roy Hodgson

6 clubs — (Blackburn Rovers, Fulham, Liverpool, West Bromich Albion, Crystal Palace, and Watford).

The well-traveled English manager has coached in various countries around Europe, but it’s in the EPL that he has worked the most.

He has managed six EPL clubs and counting so far. Hodgson started with Blackburn before later traveling to coach all over Europe.

On returning to England, Roy, then managed Fulham, Liverpool, West Brom, and Crystal Palace.

Roy Hodgson was had a managerial career that spanned over 44 years, and his biggest achievement would be leading Fulham to the final of the UEFA Europa League in 2010.

He is currently the manager of relegation battlers Watford. Many bettors have been placing bets on soccer with betMGM  regarding the outcome of Watford’s Premier League season.

Roy Hodgson returned to Crystal Palace as their manager on 21 March 2023, replacing his initial successor Patrick Vieira until the end of the 2022-23 season, who was sacked.

4. Harry Redknapp

Harry Redknapp

5 clubs — (West Ham United, Portsmouth, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, and Queens Park Rangers).

Enigmatic manager Redknapp has so far coached 5 EPL sides.

In the Premier League, Harry started out with West Ham United, with whom he enjoyed his longest spell from 1995-to 2001.

He later joined Portsmouth where he had two spells. Other clubs he managed include Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, and QPR.

Harry Redknapp’s most successful achievements at managerial level included winning the FA Cup Portsmouth in his second spell against all odds, and dramatically qualifying Tottenham for the UEFA Champions League.

5. Alan Pardew

Alan Pardew

5 clubs — (West Ham United, Charlton Athletic, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, and West Bromich Albion).

Pardew is another manager who was privileged to take charge of many clubs in the EPL.

So far, he has coached about 5 clubs in the Premier League, starting with West Ham, who he managed from 2003 to 2006.

He later managed Charlton Athletic before later going to Newcastle United.

Alan enjoyed some good spells at Crystal Palace before going to West Brom, where a poor run of results led to his dismissal. He hasn’t coached an EPL club side since then.
