Rodrygo’s Impressive Form In La Liga This Season

Rodrygo has enjoyed a decent campaign at the Madrid club after he put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The Brazilian talent has featured in 50 matches for Los Blancos this season, scoring 13 times and earning ten assists in all competitions.

The 24-year-old has been a reliable performer on the right flank as he is averaging 1.8 shots, 1.6 key passes and 1.6 dribbles per game in La Liga. He has even distributed the ball relatively well based on his pass success rate of 90.9% in the Spanish top tier (stats via whoscored).

Rodrygo is under contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium until the summer of 2028. Thus, it won’t be easy for the Gunners to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

Is Rodrygo A Good Option For Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta?

Rodrygo is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs out on the flanks. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and can shoot the ball with power from long range.

The Brazilian sensation can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas. Rodrygo is primarily a right-winger but can also play as a left-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if required. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League.

We can expect Rodrygo to bring more firepower to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He is good enough to nail down a regular first-team spot at the Emirates Stadium next season if the Gunners choose to play him as a centre-forward.

At 24, Rodrygo’s best years are ahead of him which makes him a great option for the North London club to consider in this summer transfer window.
