As Bayern Munich’s season comes to an end — as has the rest of the German leagues — some are still coming down to the final week. The Austrian Bundesliga is in a three-team race for the title and two loanees are involved. Paul Wanner and Frans Krätzig will have a two game relegation playoff to try to keep Heidenheim in the Bundesliga. Grasshopper are also in a relegation battle in the Swiss League as well. Also, the only Frauen player to play this week, scored a goal! See who else scored and what is left to play for:

FC Bayern Munich

There are eleven players on loan from the first team.

Germany – Bundesliga

There are four players on loan in the German Bundesliga: Alexander Nübel, Franz Krätzig, Paul Wanner, and Armando Sieb.

Alexander Nübel – VfB Stuttgart

Nübel started for in goal for Stuttgart in their last league match of the season. He had three saves and only allowed two goals in the match — while his team scored three goals and won. The win in Leipzig dropped RB into seventh place, which drops them out of European competition for next season. Stuttgart finished in ninth place.

Stuttgart has one more match — the DFB-Pokal Final in Berlin on Saturday against 3. Liga champions, Arminia Bielefeld.

Franz Krätzig – 1.FC Heidenheim

Krätzig was not in the matchday squad for Heidenheim’s season finale.

Paul Wanner – 1.FC Heidenheim

Wanner started and played the full 90 minutes against Werder Bremen. They had a small chance to climb out of the spot for relegation playoffs, but they did not take advantage. Wanner had one shot from outside the box which just missed over the bar. He also had a chance created for his teammates to shoot. They fell 4-1 at home and finished in 16th place.

Heidenheim will face the third place team from the 2. Bundesliga, Elversberg — where Wanner was on loan last season — in a home-and-home series to determine who will play in the Bundesliga next season.

Armindo Sieb – 1. FSV Mainz 05

Sieb was on the bench for Mainz’ 2-2 draw at home against Leverkusen. Of note: Mainz had three goals called back by VAR. They finished in sixth place, qualifying for next season’s Conference League.

England – Premier League

Mathys Tel is the only player on loan to England’s Premier League

Mathys Tel – Tottenham Hotspur

Tel started for Tottenham on the road against Aston Villa. He had the least amount of touches for anyone who played the full 90 minutes. He completed 86% of his passes, created just one chance for his team to shoot, and had no shot attempts. Spurs fell 2-0.

Tottenham will travel to Bilbao, Spain for the Europa League final on Wednesday against Manchester United. They will be back home to face Brighton on Sunday for the last match of the season.

Spain – LaLiga

There are two players on loan to Spain’s La Liga: Bryan Zaragoza and Adam Aznou

Bryan Zaragoza – CA Osasuna

Zaragoza started for Osasuna at home against Espanyol. He had one shot — on goal — and created two chances for his teammates to shoot. He was subbed off in the 73rd minute with his team up 1-0. They scored one more goal and won 2-0.

Osasuna sits in ninth place, level on points and goal differential with eighth place and a spot in the Conference league — one point behind a spot for the Europa League. Osasuna will travel to face Deportivo Alaves on Sunday.

Adam Aznou – Real Valladolid

Aznou started on the left wing for Valladolid in their final home match against Deportivo Alaves. He did not have a shot attempt, nor did he create a shot attempt. He helped keep the away team to just one goal with a block, four clearances, one interception, and six recoveries. Although they held Alaves to just one goal, Valladolid could not score and lost again.

Valladolid — long ago relegated — will travel to face Leganes on the road on Sunday.

Italy – Serie A

Arijon Ibrahimović is the only player on loan to Italy’s Serie A

Arijon Ibrahimović – Lazio

Ibrahimovic was not on the matchday squad for their 2-2 road draw against Inter Milan.

Lazio sit in seventh place, qualifying for the Conference League, with one match left. They will host Lecce on Sunday with a chance to fall out of European places or could jump as high as a Champions League spot.

Austria – Bundesliga

Lovro Zvonarek is the only player from the first team on loan to the Austrian Bundesliga.

Lovro Zvonarek – Sturm Graz

Zvonarek was not on the matchday squad again for Sturm Graz in their 3-1 loss to Rapid Wien.

With the loss, the title will be decided on the last day of the season. Sturm Graz will host Wolfsberger AC on Sunday. The two teams — together with Vinlöf’s Austria Wien — are in a threeway race for the title. Graz need a point or better to defend their title.

Germany – 2. Bundesliga

Maurice Krattenmacher is the only player from the first team on loan to the 2. Bundesliga

Maurice Krattenmacher – SSV Ulm 1846

Krattenmacher started for Ulm at home against Preussen Münster. He had one shot — which was well wide from a header — while creating two chances for his teammates to shoot and completing 87% of his passes. He was subbed off in the 62nd minute with both teams level at 1-1. Both teams added a goal each and the match ended 2-2.

Ulm finished in 17th place and has been relegated to the 3.Liga.

Germany – 3. Liga

Gibson Nana Adu is the only player on loan from the first team in the 3. Liga.

Gibson Nana Adu – Unterhaching

Adu was not in the matchday squad for Unterhaching’s 3-0 loss to Dynamo.

Unterhaching is in 20th place and has been relegated for some time.

FC Bayern Munich II

There are thirteen players on loan from the second team.

Germany – 2. Bundesliga

There are two players from the second team loaned to the 2. Bundesliga: Hyun-ju Lee and Noel Aseko

Hyun-ju Lee – Hannover 96

Lee was on the bench for Hannover’s final match of the season in Berlin. He came off the bench in the 85th minute with the match level at 1-1. He did not have a touch and contributed nothing to the match.

Noel Aseko – Hannover 96

Aseko also started on the bench for Hannover against Hertha. He came into the match in the 68th minute. The extra minutes — compared to Lee — only earned him four touches and two pass attempts. He contributed about the same amount as Lee and the season finale ended in a 1-1 draw.

After a promising start to the season, Hannover 96 finished in ninth place.

Germany – Regionalliga

There are six players Regionalliga teams: Lukas Schneller and Marko Popović in Regionalliga Bayern, Luka Parkadge and Robert Deziel Jr in Regionalliga Nordost, and Yousef Qashi and Benedikt Wimmer in Regionalliga West.

Lukas Schneller – Schweinfurt 05

Schneller started in goal and played the full 90 minutes for Schweinfurt 05 at home against FC Augsburg II. He held shutout the second team from Augsburg and led his already-promoted team to a final win of the season — a 2-0 final score.

Schweinfurt 05 won the Regionalliga Bayern and will play in the 3. Liga next season.

Marko Popović – Türkgücü München

It appears that Türkgücü’s final match of the season was forfeited.

They had already long been relegated, finishing last place in the Regionalliga Bayern and will play in the fifth division Bayernliga next season.

Luka Parkadze – Altglienicke

Parkadze started in for Altglienicke’s final match — on the road against FSV 63 Luckenwalde. He only played the first half, but could not help his team find a goal. He left as a halftime sub with the match scoreless.

Robert Deziel Jr – Altglienicke

Deziel Jr also started for Altglienicke, but played the full match in the defense. He helped his team earn a shutout for the final match of the season. Unfortunately, they could not find a goal either and the match finished 0-0.

Altglienicke finished 9th place in the Regionalliga Nordost.

Yousef Qashi – Wuppertaler SV

Qashi started on the bench for Wuppertaler SV on the road against FC Gütersloh. He came into the match at halftime with his team down 4-0. Unfortunately he could not help his team find a goal, nor could he help his team keep them from scoring again…

Benedikt Wimmer – Wuppertaler SV

Wimmer started for Wuppertal on the road in the defense. The home team scored early and often. Wupertal allowed four goals in the first half and three more in the second half. Unfortunately Wupertal were shut out and ended the season on a 7-0 road loss.

Wuppertaler SV ended the season in 13th place in the Regionalliga West.

Austria – Bundesliga

Matteo Pérez Vinlöf is the only player on loan to the Austrian Bundesliga from the second team.

Matteo Pérez Vinlöf – Austria Wien

Vinlöf started for Austria Wien and played the first 68 minutes. He was unable to get a shot attempt, nor did he create a chance for his teammates to shoot. He attempted to get things going in the attack with six passes into the final third. When he was subbed off, his team was up 2-1 and were able to finish the win out with that score line.

This win sets up a three-way race for the title between Wolfsberger AC and Sturm Graz. Austria Wien will host BW Linz in the final match of the season on Sunday.

Austria – 2. Liga

Tom Hülsmann is the only player on loan to the Austrian 2. Liga from the second team

Tom Hülsmann – SKN St. Pölten

Hülsmann started in goal for St Pölten and played the full 90 minutes against Rapid Wien II. He faced four shots on goal and saved three of them. Luckily St. Pölten scored three goals for a 3-1 win.

St Pölten will travel to face SV Lafnitz on Sunday for the final match of the season.

Netherlands – Kampioen Divisie

David Jonathans is the only player on loan to the Dutch Kampioen Divisie.

David Jonathans – FC Den Bosch

Jonathans was on the bench for Den Bosch in the second leg of the Promotion quarterfinals, but did not make it into the match. Den Bosch advanced with a 1-1 draw after extra time.

Den Bosch will host Telstar in the first leg of the semifinals on Tuesday and then will travel to face Telstar on the road on Friday.

Switzerland – Super League

There are two players on loan to the Swiss Super League: Nestory Irankunda and Grayson Dettoni.

Nestory Irankunda – Grasshopper Club Zurich

Irankunda started on the bench for Grasshopper on Wednesday at home against relegation rivals, Yverdon. He came into the match in the 59th minute with his team up 3-0 after an early red card from the home team. He completed 100% of his passes and only got one shot off, but that shot ended in a goal! His goal was the final goal in a 5-0 win.

Irankunda was on the bench again as Grasshopper took on Sion on the road. He came into the match in the 62nd minute — just after Sion went up 2-0. Irankunda had two shots — both that missed badly — and created one attempt for his teammates to shoot. Grasshopper got a late goal, but still fell 2-1.

Grayson Dettoni – Grasshopper Club Zurich

Dettoni was not in the matchday squad for either match last week.

Grasshopper sits in fifth out of sixth place in the relegation group — the relegation playoff spot — just one point from safety and level on points with the automatic relegation. Grasshopper will host St Gallen in the season finale.

FC Bayern Frauen

There are five players on loan from FC Bayern’s Frauen team.

Sevilla (Spain) and the Utah Royals (USA) are the only ones still playing.

Spain – Primera División Femenina

Natalia Padilla is the only player on loan to the Primera División Femenina.

Natalia Padilla – FC Sevilla

Padilla started in the final match of the season for Sevilla and played the full 90 minutes. She only had 19 touches for the full match and and put two matches on goal — one of which turned into Sevilla’s lone goal. Despite the goal, they fell 3-1 at home to Eibar.

Sevilla ended the season in ninth place in the Primera División Femenina.

USA – NWSL

Ana María Guzmán is the only player on loan to the NWSL.

Ana María Guzmán – Utah Royals FC

Guzmán was on the bench for the Royals 3-3 road draw against Washington Spirit but did not make it onto the pitch.

The NWSL will play through the Summer. Utah will host the Orlando Pride on Friday.

Bayern Munich’s season is over, but we have plenty to talk about. Let’s discuss how we feel about the season and why fan expectations will be higher in 2025/26. We’ll also hit on Harry Kane’s statements, which seem to indicate that he could extend his contract, while also giving a breakdown of Bayern Munich’s big contract/transfer situations. Finally, we touch on Uli Hoeneß proving he has not lost a step with the media as he provided some commentary on the Florian Wirtz transfer saga.
