TBR Football can reveal that Harry Kane’s camp have already played down the prospect of a move back to England this summer.
Kane is expected to return to the Premier League at some point, however, it is looking increasingly unlikely that a move will happen this summer.
But, with the 31-year-old having just ended his trophy drought by winning the Bundesliga and the Premier League goal record tally still firmly in his sights, a move back to England this summer cannot be completely ruled out just yet.
Kane’s been linked to Tottenham and Man United and would likely jump at the chance if the striker made himself available. Kane has a £54m release clause which will become active in 2026, with his current deal at Bayern Munich running until 2027.
Harry Kane’s Premier League return this summer is unlikely but not impossible
TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has revealed that some in football believe that there is still a chance Harry Kane could return to the Premier League this summer.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all on the hunt for a striker and could all become an option for Kane should he be open to leaving. However, as per the striker’s camp, that remains unlikely at this stage, as he is well settled in Germany and happy at Bayern Munich, for now.
Bailey told TBR Football: “I am still hearing Harry Kane’s name coming up. We are really going to have a real shuffle of the pack this summer when it comes to strikers. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all looking for strikers.
“People close to Kane have been asked the question, but say nothing is going to happen – but I can say there are some in football who keep saying watch out for him this summer. I don’t really expect a move, but never say never, this is a crazy market.”
How close is Harry Kane to Alan Shearer’s Premier League goal record?
Kane still needs 47 goals to match Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League goal record, which he will surely fancy his chances of doing.
Player | Goals | Games | Ratio |
Alan Shearer | 260 | 441 | 0.59 |
Harry Kane | 213 | 320 | 0.67 |
The striker has just completed a 26-goal season in the Bundesliga, making him the top scorer in Germany for the second season running.
