The race for next season’s Champions League is set to go down to the wire, and here’s everything you need to know.

So far, it has been confirmed that Liverpool and Arsenal will be two of six Premier League sides playing in the Champions League next season.

Meanwhile, Manchester United or Tottenham Hotspur will also qualify by winning the Europa League final, which takes place on Wednesday night.

In the Premier League, there are still three Champions League places up for grabs as we head into the last matchday of the 24/25 season.

On the back of their 3-1 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday night, Manchester City rose to third place in the table with 68 points.

Pep Guardiola’s men are two points ahead of Newcastle United (4th), Chelsea (5th) and Aston Villa (6th).

City are also three points in front of Nottingham Forest, who are currently seventh with 65 points.

Heading into the final weekend of Premier League football, here is what each club needs to qualify for the Champions League.

What Chelsea, Man City, Newcastle, Villa and Forest need to happen to secure Champions League football

Manchester City – Current position – 3rd

Due to their superior goal difference, one point against Fulham at Craven Cottage should be enough for Guardiola‘s men. Three points will secure a third-place finish.

Newcastle United – Current position – 4th

The Magpies know that a victory at home against Everton will seal their place in Europe’s premier club competition. A draw would leave them vulnerable.

Chelsea – Current position – 5th

The Blues are taking on fellow Champions League chasers Forest; a win for Enzo Maresca’s side will do the job.

If they lose, they will need Villa to taste defeat also.

Aston Villa – Current position – 6th

For Villa, they must win against Manchester United and hope Chelsea drop points against Forest.

Nottingham Forest – Current position – 7th

Forest will need two things to happen: they must win against Chelsea and hope Villa drop points against United.
