Kevin De Bruyne will start next season as part of another club for the first time in 10 years as he departs Manchester City.

In April, the Belgian announced he would be leaving Man City when his contract expires at the end of this campaign.

He posted an emotional statement on social media to confirm his time at the club was up after winning six Premier League titles and the Champions League, among many other trophies.

De Bruyne is a City icon and his name will ring around the Etihad on Tuesday night in what will be his final home game.

A farewell has been planned by the club for after their clash with Bournemouth, which is live on talkSPORT, to pay tribute.

But sadly, along with the celebrations of his time in Manchester, there will also be thoughts of where he’ll be heading next…

Kevin De Bruyne transfer latest

De Bruyne has been linked to many clubs since announcing his departure from Man City.

talkSPORT understands that he has interest from clubs in the MLS as well as from Saudi Arabian sides.

But there have yet to be any concrete reports on where his next destination is going to be.

The 33-year-old is understood to be keen on a move to the USA.

Last month, talkSPORT reported that Chicago Fire are set to rival Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami for his signature.

New York City FC and DC United are also said to be interested, while San Diego FC are not pursuing a move for De Bruyne.

There has yet to be an offer made for him from the US, but Miami have an advantage as they hold discovery rights.

That means the club, owned by football legend David Beckham, have exclusivity when it comes to negotiating with him first.

Teaming up with Messi would be incredible, but Miami are only one of many teams that will all be fighting to sign him.

When it comes to Saudi Arabian clubs, sources have denied that De Bruyne has already held talks with NEOM SC.

Meanwhile, Al-Qadisah and Al-Hilal are said to have enquired about him as they look to bring another big name to the Middle East.

Over the last few weeks, there have also been rumours that Liverpool were considering a sensational swoop for De Bruyne.

But talkSPORT understands that those reports were wide of the mark, despite him refusing to rule out joining another English side.

When asked about whether he could join a Premier League team on a free, he said: “Honestly, I don’t know.

“The decision to leave has not been long. I have to speak to them and then I will see which team wants me. I don’t know. I have no idea.”

So, there remains a chance that De Bruyne stays in the Premier League after his time at Man City comes to an end.

Aston Villa have been reported to have held internal talks over making an ambitious move for the Belgian.

And Man United legend Roy Keane has joked about a potential switch to his local rivals as the mystery continues over his next club.

There are other options across Europe too, with Italian giants Napoli linked despite concerns over his wage demands.
