Exclusive: Chelsea’s owners working to sign ‘one of the best teenagers in British football’ for Strasbourg ahead of Leeds United

TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Chelsea’s owners are working to beat Leeds United, Liverpool and a host of other Premier League clubs to the signing of “one of the best teenagers in British football”.

Leeds United have returned to the Premier League at the second time of asking and will be eager to strengthen their ranks and avoid the fate of the three Championship sides promoted in 2024.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will be keen on bolstering their ranks for the present and the future after a brilliant campaign in Arne Slot’s first season in charge.

However, Chelsea’s owners BlueCo appear to be stealing a march on Leeds, Liverpool and many other leading Premier League clubs in pursuit of said talent.

BlueCo could land Lennon Miller for Strasbourg

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey can reveal that Chelsea’s owners BlueCo are looking to seal the signing of Scottish starlet Lennon Miller.

The 18-year-old Motherwell midfielder is set to leave Fir Park this summer and a host of clubs are battling for his signature.

As we previously revealed, Scottish champions Celtic are keen, whilst a host of English clubs have been looking to lure him over the border.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester United, Newcastle, Tottenham, Brighton, Brentford, Crystal Palace, West Ham have all had contact about Miller.

However, a move abroad is looking an increasingly attractive option. A move to Serie A is possible, where a host of Scottish players are flourishing.

Atalanta, Bologna and Como are all keen on Miller – but we can now confirm that the teenager could be heading to France.

TBR Football understands that BlueCo are working to take Miller to Strasbourg.

Strasbourg are looking at the British market and have agreed terms with Burnley ace CJ Egan-Riley, as we revealed previously.

They are now looking to bring in Miller – one of the best teenagers in British football.

Indeed, we can confirm that Miller has long been on the radar of their sister club Chelsea.

Why Lennon Miller is so highly sought after

At just 18 years of age, Miller has done enough to show he has all the tools needed to become a star.

He has already made 76 competitive appearances for Motherwell, registering five goals and 11 assists from midfield.

Miller’s character is also befitting of a player with incredibly high potential.

“I’m confident in my own ability,” Miller said after being called up to the Scotland senior squad for the first time in March, as per Goal.com.

“I’m obviously not going to go in and be the best player there, but I believe that I could maybe in a couple of months be the best player there.

“I think that’s how you need to think as a football player – you need to want to be the best.”
