Having spent five years with Nike, Liverpool is moving back to the German brand Adidas this summer as its kit manufacturer. And another leaked picture has emerged supposedly showing its next set of strips.
The Premier League champion will likely kick off next season as the favorite to retain its crown and it could be an exciting summer of transfers before that. Jeremie Frimpong is edging closer to arriving and the Reds also have interest in Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez and Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz.
Any new arrivals will want to look the part with several leaks having already come out ahead of the official release. Normally, Liverpool would debut its new kit on the final day of the season, but with the changeover from Nike to Adidas this summer coming after Sunday’s visit of Crystal Palace, that won’t be the case this time around.
Liverpool’s change in kit supplier from next season onward was confirmed in March, with Adidas set to reunite with Liverpool for a multi-year partnership.
A post on social media from one Liverpool account has claimed the new kits will look something like the image below. The home shirt is a simple red design, with the away strip the same design but in white.
The new Adidas merchandise will be available from 1 August. It will be the third time Liverpool has teamed up with the sporting fashion giant in its history.
“Everyone at the club is incredibly excited to welcome adidas back into the LFC family,” Billy Hogan, chief executive officer at Liverpool, said when the partnership was confirmed.
“We have enjoyed fantastic success together in the past and created some of the most iconic LFC kits of all time.
“Adidas and Liverpool share an ambition of success and we couldn’t be more excited to partner together again as we look forward to creating more incredible kits to help drive on-pitch performance.

“We’d like to thank Nike for their support over the last five years and wish them well for the future.”
According to The Athletic, Liverpool will be rewarded with a $2.5 million payout from Nike as a result of clinching the title. The current home strip will be worn by the Reds for the final time this weekend.
Virgil van Dijk will lift the Premier League trophy at Anfield and then the following day, Liverpool’s players will be on an open-top bus traveling around the city with it.
Liverpool.com says: The main thing that makes a kit special is what trophies are won while wearing it. Nike has had a couple in its five-year stint, but Adidas should be expecting even more in the next half-decade.
