Germany and other teams can now add 3 additional players to their rosters at the tournament.
The once rejected Nations League concept, has evolutionized international friendlies to make the international break far more interesting. Now, Germany will have the opportunity to host a mini-tournament in Munich and Stuttgart to determine the winner of the Nations League in a Final Four bracket showdown. UEFA recently confirmed that these four teams will be allowed to register an additional 3 players.
This expanded roster of 26 players is meant to appropriately capture the end-of-season demands and increased schedule in summer 2025, with the Club World Cup. Germany among the other nations at the Final Four in Germany, will be able to bring additional reinforcements.

Perhaps this is the opportunity for fringe players like Jamie Leweling and Karim Adeyemi to return to the senior squad, or introduce new players like Nick Woltemade. With the long list of injuries plaguing the Germany squad such as Antonio Rüdiger, Nico Schlotterbeck, and Jamal Musiala, this will be a welcome change for the time being.
Can Germany still win the Nations League despite all the injuries to the squad? Let us know in the comments!
