Tottenham Hotspur faced off against Manchester United at the San Mames Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result in the UEFA Europa League final. Spurs made a decent start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 42nd minute when Brennan Johnson found the back of the net. Ange Postecoglu’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

The North London club defended their slender lead well in the second half and earned a narrow 1-0 win at the San Mames.

Let’s take a look at how each Tottenham player fared during the clash against the Red Devils.

GK: Guglielmo Vicario – 8.5/10

Vicario made a lot of crucial saves at the back and secured an important clean sheet tonight.

RB: Pedro Porro – 7/10

He performed his defensive duties well but offered very little in the opponent’s half.

CB: Cristian Romero – 7.5/10

Romero made a lot of important clearances at the back and did enough to earn a clean sheet.

CB: Micky van de Ven – 7/10

He did what was required of him on the defensive third of the field.

CM: Pape Matar Sarr – 7/10

Sarr anchored the midfield with conviction but offered very little in the final third.

CM: Yves Bissouma – 7.5/10

He offered decent protection for his teammates at the back and made one good run with the ball.

CM: Rodrigo Bentancur – 6.5/10

Bentancur came back to defend when needed but was ineffective in the Man United half.

RW: Brennan Johnson – 7/10

He helped his teammates out at the back and was responsible for scoring the only goal of the Europa League final in the 42nd minute.

ST: Dominic Solanke – 6.5/10

Solanke was a real handful for the opposition defenders but there was no goal for him.

LW: Richarlison – 6.5/10

He proved his worth at times but failed to register a goal.

Substitutes:

LW: Heung-min Son – 6/10

Son made one decent run with the ball.

He kept things solid at the back after coming off the bench.
