The summer transfer window is just around the corner, and Liverpool are going to be active.
Jeremie Frimpong is set to sign for Liverpool already, while Milos Kerkez is on Liverpool’s radar too.
Liverpool have also been linked with Marc Guehi, and now, it sounds as though the Crystal Palace defender could be available on the cheap.
Indeed, according to Dean Jones, speaking on the Ranks FC Podcast, Guehi could now be available for just £40m this summer.
Guehi was valued at £70m not too long ago, so £40m would be a bargain fee for the England star.

Jones shared what he knows about Guehi and a potential move this summer.
The journalist says that Crystal Palace are likely to sell their captain as he enters the final year of his deal.
On top of that, Jones believes Guehi could cost as little as £40m now.
“And, you know, as part of that, you want to make sure that, yes, you’ve got your best players in tow, but also if they’re going to be leaving, that you move them on at the right time. The hunch coming into this month was that they would cash in on Guehi in this transfer window. And so, that’s what I’ve always been led to believe,” Jones said.
“And now, where does he go? It kind of throws up a different question. And who are Palace willing to kind of do a business deal with is a different question.
“Steve Parish, the Palace Chairman this week was kind of talking about the future of football. And I don’t get the impression he’s that keen to do business with Newcastle still. And they’re one of the leading clubs for Guehi.
“We saw them go for Guehi last time, putting in four or five bids, whatever it was in the end, when they quickly came in for him. And I just don’t think he likes the ownership situation at Newcastle. I think he’s made it clear enough he doesn’t like that kind of scenario.
“And so maybe he prices Guehi out of a deal to somewhere like that. And then you’re thinking, well, are Chelsea going to come in? Are Arsenal going to come in?
“Are Liverpool actually going to come in for Guehi? And what is the opportunity here? I think Guehi could go for as low as 40 million, from what I’ve heard.”

Liverpool are keen on Guehi, but the player himself has not had the best of times when he’s played against the Reds over the years.
Indeed, while Liverpool have been impressed by Guehi overall, whenever he’s played against Liverpool, he hasn’t exactly covered himself in glory.

Guehi is an ‘outstanding’ defender, but coming up against the likes of Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo is bound to leave any centre-back tied up in knots.
Of course, in a more dominant team, Guehi’s abilities in these big games would shine through even more, and, by the sounds of it, he’ll be getting a move this summer, be that to Anfield or elsewhere.
Chelsea are also keen on Guehi, and the Crystal Palace star is certainly someone to keep an eye on this summer.
