The former Aston Villa striker had a strong opinion on Alejandro Garnacho’s recent views, with the Argentine heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

Manchester United’s season just keeps going from bad to worse as their Europa League final loss to Tottenham piles more misery on to their worst ever Premier League campaign.

Criticism of Ruben Amorim continues as the Portuguese’s future at the club is uncertain, although he feels confident that he will still be around next season.

However, one player is not so sure and is heavily linked with a move away, with former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor encouraging him to leave.

Frustrations were high after the final and Alejandro Garnacho was unhappy with the number of minutes he received, with Agbonlahor saying on talkSPORT: “I don’t blame him!

“If I am Garnacho this morning, I am on the phone to my agent, maybe even last night, saying ‘get me out of here, goodbye’”

Before the final, the Argentine had played a part in every round of the competition and started 10 of their 15 games, scoring one and assisting a further four.

In the Premier League, he has netted six times and registered two assists in 36 appearances, meaning that he has appeared in all bar one league game for the Red Devils this season.

Despite being a regular in the team, Garnacho’s future at Man United is unclear, particularly with the imminent arrival of Wolves’ Mateus Cunha, meaning that this could be the summer where both parties decide to go their separate ways.

What did Garnacho actually say after Europa League final defeat?

Shortly after the full-time whistle, the Argentine was speaking to foreign media, with his emotions clearly visible after such a damning result, saying: “Until the final, I played every round helping the team… then the final arrives and I play 20 minutes?! I don’t know,”

He added: “The final, the season, the whole situation of the club… I will try to enjoy the summer and then we will see what happens.”

Garnacho has been linked with a move away for quite some time now, with Chelsea and Napoli two sides who have been keeping a close eye on him, with his comments perhaps spiking both their interest.
