Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili has ruled out a loan departure ahead of his move to Liverpool this summer.
Liverpool announced last summer that they had reached an agreement to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili from Spanish side Valencia.
However, the deal allowed Mamardashvili to remain with Valencia for the 2024-25 campaign, before officially joining Liverpool ahead of the 2025-26 season.
The Georgia international has kept eight clean sheets in 33 La Liga appearances this term, helping the club move away from the danger zone and into the comfort of midtable.
After playing his final home game in Sunday’s 1-0 victory, Mamardashvili is set to make his last appearance in Friday’s away game against Real Betis, before he turns his focus to the next stages of his career.

Mamardashvili makes Liverpool loan decision
Having enjoyed being a first-choice goalkeeper at Valencia, the 24-year-old may have to settle for a backup role at Anfield, with Alisson Becker regarded as the club’s undisputed number one.
While he could see his playing time decrease, Mamardashvili has no plans to leave Liverpool on loan for the 2025-26 campaign.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Mamardashvili told Geo Team: “I’m not considering another loan move. I will spend next season at Liverpool”.
“I’ll go to Liverpool and give my all, just like I did at Valencia. I’ll work hard every single day, training with Alisson will help me.”

What does Mamardashvili’s arrival mean for Kelleher?
With Mamardashvili set to join the club, Alisson’s current deputy, Caoimhin Kelleher, is set to fall down the pecking order at Anfield.
As a result, Kelleher is likely to leave in the summer transfer window despite being regarded as a strong goalkeeping option at the Merseyside club.
The Republic of Ireland has largely impressed when called upon this season, keeping nine clean sheets in 20 appearances in all competitions.
At the age of 26, Kelleher will now be on the lookout to join a club that can offer him the chance to be a first-choice goalkeeper.
