While the Red Devils suffered a painful 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night, the Lions beat Spurs 2-0 in their most recent league match last weekend, and here, Sports Mole provides all the details on how to tune into the event.

What time does Man United vs. Aston Villa kick off?

Man United and Aston Villa will do battle at 4pm UK time on Sunday afternoon, as will all of the other nine Premier League fixtures on the final day of the season.

While the Red Devils have failed to win any of their last eight Premier League matches (D2 L6), the Lions have won each of their last three without reply.

Where is Man United vs. Aston Villa being played?

Old Trafford, the largest club football stadium in the United Kingdom (74,197), will be the venue for Man United’s final-day clash with Aston Villa.

The last time these two teams faced each other at Old Trafford was in December 2023 when the Red Devils came from two goals down at half time to win 3-2 in the Premier League, with Rasmus Hojlund scoring an 82nd-minute winner.

TV channels

Man United vs. Aston Villa is one of three Premier League games that has been selected for TV coverage on the final day, and viewers can tune in to the match on TNT Sports.

The fixture will be shown on TNT Sports 1, which is channel number 410 (HD) or 874 (SD) for Sky customers, channel 430 for EE TV customers, and channel 527 for Virgin Media subscribers.

For those without Sky TV, this fixture will be available to stream through the Discovery+ app and also on NBC.com.

Highlights

BBC’s Match of the Day programme will also showcase the best moments and analysis at 10.30pm on Sunday evening.

What is at stake for Man United vs. Aston Villa on the final day?

Man United are guaranteed to endure their worst-ever Premier League season as they currently sit 16th in the Premier League table with a record-low 39 points. Victory on Sunday for Ruben Amorim‘s side could see them climb up to 14th spot in both West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers fail to claim maximum points in their final-day fixtures.

In stark contrast, this fixture represents a hugely important one for Champions League-chasing Aston Villa, who sit sixth in the table and level on points with both Newcastle United and Chelsea in fourth and fifth respectively. Unai Emery‘s men know that they need to better the result of at least one of Newcastle or Chelsea to finish in the top five.
