Arsenal are in the market for new attacking talent this summer.
Arsenal will sign a striker this summer, and, on top of that, the Gunners are also looking to bolster the wide areas.
Nico Williams has been linked to Arsenal, while Rafael Leao is on Arsenal’s radar too.
Speaking on the Ranks FC Podcast, Dean Jones has been discussing where Bryan Mbeumo will end up this summer, and he says that Arsenal are one of the teams regularly mentioned to him as a potential suitor for Mbeumo.

Arsenal regularly mentioned as contenders for Bryan Mbeumo
Jones spoke about Mbeumo’s future and a potential move this summer.
The journalist says he has four clubs regularly mentioned to him as a potential destination for the £50m man and Arsenal are amongst those teams.
“Yeah, exactly. And Mbeumo, just to go over the names that you’ve just talked about, Mbeumo is linked with Man United, with Newcastle, with Arsenal, with Nottingham Forest primarily. They’re the kind of four that I’ve had mentioned to me most regularly.
And United, I mean, obviously that would mean playing as either a 10, which would be kind of where I thought Bruno Fernandes was going to be alongside Cunha for next season. Or is he going out to a right wing back? Do they see him as a right wing back so they can play Diallo as a 10?”
“I think Arsenal and Mbuemo isn’t the worst idea, certainly. Might be the best idea of those clubs.
“Although he’s thrived off the right hand side, which is where Bukayo Saka plays. Yes, do you need rotation in there? Of course you do.”
Bryan Mbeumo compared to Bukayo Saka
Jones notes that Mbeumo would be competing with Bukayo Saka for minutes if he joined Arsenal, and that’s not an easy battle.
Indeed, Saka is a world-class player, and he won’t give up his spot in the Arsenal team easily.
However, when you look at the numbers, Mbeumo does stack up very well against Saka.
Bryan Mbeumo | Bukayo Saka | |
37 | Games | 24 |
19 | Goals | 6 |
7 | Assists | 10 |
Both of these players are fantastic, and Arsenal would have an incredible amount of depth down the right wing if they brought Mbeumo in.
However, with Newcastle, Manchester United and Nottingham Forest also seemingly in the mix, this won’t be an easy deal for the Gunners to do.
