The Red Devils are now set to finish in the Premier League’s bottom seven, do not have a trophy to their name this term, and do not have European football next season.

In addition, Manchester United are also set to suffer a £10million blow as per the terms and conditions with kit provider Adidas in the wake of their Europa League final loss.

Manchester United set to be penalised for two seasons without Champions League football

Man United’s agreement with Adidas dictates that they cannot spend successive years out of the Champions League, as reported by The Mirror.

The Red Devils missed out on Champions League football this year, and their Europa League loss to Tottenham means they’ll be without any European football next term.

Not only do Man United miss out on the revenue and exposure from being in the Champions League, but they will also need to pay £10million to Adidas as a result of missing out.

In addition, the Tezos sponsorship of the club’s training kit ends this summer and there has not been an announcement about a replacement as of yet.

This would deprive Man United of another source of revenue if they cannot line up a replacement.

Whether Ruben Amorim could be sacked by Manchester United and how much transfer budget is available

Man United’s dreadful season has led to increased speculation over Ruben Amorim’s future at Old Trafford.

However, The Guardian has reported that Amorim retains Man United’s firm backing despite their Europa League final loss.

The report noted how the Red Devils’ stance on Amorim was not going to be affected by the result at Bilbao’s San Mames Stadium.

The football department, headed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, is keen on Amorim having a full pre-season with his team and the opportunity to strengthen the squad.

In addition, the report claims Amorim has a summer transfer budget of ‘a little less than £100million’ to rebuild his squad in the wake of the Europa League final loss.
