The Saints are already preparing for life back in the Championship, while the Gunners are virtually guaranteed to finish second, and here Sports Mole provides details of how to tune into the event.

What time does Southampton vs. Arsenal kick off?

As is tradition, all 10 Premier League matches are kicking off at the same time on the final day of the season, and the first whistle will blow on Southampton vs. Arsenal at 4pm on Sunday.

The Saints and the Gunners have met once before on a Premier League final day in the 2000-01 campaign, where Southampton defeated Arsene Wenger‘s Arsenal 3-2 at The Dell, the last competitive match to be played at the hosts’ former home.

Where is Southampton vs. Arsenal being played?

Twenty-four years on from closing the curtains on The Dell, Southampton and Arsenal collide at the Saints’ St Mary’s Stadium this weekend.

Every single one of Southampton’s eight Premier League wins against the Gunners has come at home, but Arsenal have not lost their final game of a campaign since all the way back in 2005.

How to watch Southampton vs. Arsenal in the UK

TV channels

Unfortunately for Saints fans and Gooners, Southampton and Arsenal’s final-day clash is not being shown on live TV in the UK.

Instead, Sky are showing Liverpool vs. Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest vs. Chelsea, while TNT Sports are broadcasting Manchester United’s home match against Aston Villa.

Online streaming

Likewise, Southampton vs. Arsenal will not be shown on any paid online streaming services, although fans with memberships to their respective clubs can listen to live commentary through their team’s websites.

Furthermore, Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday programme will cover the event with commentary from a former player, while clubs and journalists’ social media accounts will provide live updates.

Highlights

While this match is not being shown on live TV, the Sky Sports YouTube channel will upload highlights shortly after full time, as will the Arsenal and Southampton accounts.

Furthermore, BBC’s Match of the Day programme will offer highlights and analysis at 10.30pm on Sunday evening.

What is at stake for Southampton and Arsenal on the final day?

For Southampton, simply finishing with the highest points total possible and salvaging a little bit of pride, but they have already surpassed Derby County’s record low of 11 points from 2007-08.

Meanwhile, Arsenal could still be knocked out of second spot by Manchester City, but the Gunners need just the one point to be sure of a third consecutive silver medal.
