A match that probably no Tottenham Hotspur player wants to play, Ange Postecoglou‘s men conclude the 2024-25 Premier League campaign at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon.

The North London giants are basking in the glow of ending their torturous 17-year trophy drought, having slain Manchester United 1-0 in Wednesday’s historic Europa League final in Bilbao.

The Lilywhites will therefore grace the Champions League with their presence again next season, allowing fans to forget about their dismal 17th-placed ranking in the Premier League table.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the club’s injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Brighton, who need just a point to guarantee an eighth-placed finish and potential Conference League football.

Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: May 25 (vs. Brighton)

The one minor dampener on Spurs’ Europa League success was Richarlison coming off with yet another injury midway through the second half, but the Brazilian was in extremely high spirits during the celebrations and has ostensibly avoided a serious issue.

Likewise, James Maddison is also sidelined due to a knee concern, and only time will tell if the English playmaker will recover in time for pre-season.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Lucas Bergvall travelled with the rest of the squad for the Europa League final, offering a sliver of hope that he could be fit to play in Bilbao, but his ankle is still giving him grief and he will not feature again this season.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Postecoglou revealed last week that Timo Werner’s extended absence from the team was due to a hamstring injury, one that means he has likely played his final match for the club before he returns to parent team RB Leipzig.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Radu Dragusin donned his Spurs kit for the post-match celebrations on Wednesday, but it will still be several months before the Romanian fully recovers from an ACL tear.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Fledgling striker Dane Scarlett was also seen partying on the pitch in Bilbao following a groin operation, but he will not be risked on Sunday and is instead targeting a return for pre-season.
