Barcelona have announced that Raphinha has signed a new contract with the club until June 2028.
The Brazil international has had an extraordinary campaign for the Catalan giants, making 56 appearances in all competitions, scoring 34 goals and registering 25 assists in the process.
There had been some speculation surrounding the 28-year-old’s future, with clubs from the Premier League and Saudi Pro League believed to be keeping a close eye on his situation.
However, Barcelona have now announced that Raphinha has penned a contract extension which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2027-28 campaign, ending the speculation surrounding his future.
“Thank you for all the love. I renewed my contract and I’m very happy. I hope to stay here for many, many years. Let’s go. Visca Barca, always,” Raphinha told the club’s official media channel.

Raphinha signs new Barcelona contract until June 2028
“I spoke with the president and I feel that the club, he and all the people in charge have put their trust in me for the second time – this for me is something I am grateful for, it is something very special.
“Feeling like one of you for another year makes me leave here very happy. It’s a personal goal I’ve achieved, and I hope to continue making our fans happy.
“My dream is to be here until the end of my career, and I hope I can achieve that while I am at my best. As I’ve always said, I’ll give everything I have for this shirt. I’ll give my best in every training session and every game.
“Now I am the father, the leader, the person who has to be more responsible than I was when I arrived. Not that I wasn’t before, but the years go by, and in the end, you become more mature.
“I think I’ve matured a lot since I arrived and I think I can still mature more, with the help of everyone around me during training and matches and all the people I see every day.

“I hope to become a better person and a better player, to continue scoring many goals, making many assists, and above all, to continue winning many titles with this shirt.
“My personal goal is to win titles every year, go to the celebrations, and see people happy with what we’ve done during the season. That’s my goal—to bring joy to these fans and to everyone who works at the club.
“Since the day I arrived, my goal was to lift many titles with this shirt and that remains my goal.”
Raphinha made the move to Barcelona from Leeds United in July 2022, and he has represented the Catalan giants on 143 occasions, scoring 54 goals and registering 50 assists in the process.
